12 Feb: WE DID IT!

Well, we have one day left to go! The Kickstarter Campaign is officially a success we have raised over 3400 dollars. Thanks to my crew: Israel, Mary, and Claire for all the support in backing this project; for I would not of made it without you. Much props! I’ve learned a lot on the ins and outs on preparing for such a project, as this. Thanks to See The Good, they were very helpful in allowing me to do a guest post on the front of their business page. This is a wonderful way to get some traffic into a Champaign. We also landed the Herald Banner to write an article, which also brings in a lot of traffic. One thing I didn’t do, that…

20 Jan: EVOLVING TO CHANGE

Now that the campaign is in full swing you’d think I could take a breather and rest a minute. Total opposite from what I thought to be an accomplishment finished, when actually it’s just began. Now that there obviously isn’t enough traffic coming through the Kickstarter campaign. The push of a life time begins. I never knew the drive you have to have within yourself to get where it is your wanting to be! I have pushed myself hard this last year and a half to finish this book and make it a reality. Now the learning curve is to get it out there and make it salable to the public. Also, to find that connection with the right person at the right time that…

01 Jan: WE ARE LIVE

The campaign is up and running! I put a lot of sweat and tears into this campaign and I hope you guys like it. The commercial was definitely the hardest thing to stomach! I’m happy to say it went well and I truly think that we will be able to get the idea across to those that haven’t heard about this new family tradition. I’m so excited to see what’s to come. I’m believing for a great outcome and most of all a positive turn out in your homes as you introduce this storybook and treasure chest to your children. One of the things I’ve learned is, if your going to introduce a tradition to your child it better work. Children depend on us to…

26 Dec: COMMERCIAL

So we completed the commercial! I have to say this was the most nerve racking thing I’ve ever completed. I had to take a whole minute outside and take some deep breaths and say a little prayer for a blanket of peace. I’m sure the Red Bull didn’t help any with my nerves. In fact I was shaking, laugh out loud! So no Red Bull before a nerve racking event. In this photo the lights haven’t been set up around me but once they were my heart started pounding. I was like really? So, I focused in on the fact that this is a chance for me to truly get my idea on film and really show my personality to you guys. My heart really…

17 Dec: DAYS AWAY FROM KICKSTARTER

The content is complete! I can’t believe we are days away from pulling the trigger on this campaign. I have to redo this pic above because we want this to be perfect for you guys so you can really see how awesome this book really looks. Then we move onto the video the last this to tackle before hitting the launch button. We really want you to feel loved and appreciated, all I can really offer is my time. I am going to number the first 100 books and sign the first 25 books to show my appreciation, and one of our pledge levels that we came up with. We will have “me” the Author come to your place of business or classroom with twenty…

10 Dec: COME AND GET IT!

Getting off to a good start! We are now building the kickstarter page, we have added some really cool headers with art. I’m feeling pretty confident that this campaign will be fun for those that become a kickstarter backer, they will feel special in joining us. We have incorporated the first one hundred books will be numbered, the first twenty five books signed by me, the author; and to the biggest pledgers, I will be writing a special regards to a child of your choice, in the back of the book. This is a token of my gratitude for the help we get. I hope that every backer truly understands that they are a part of my success and that I couldn’t accomplish the packaging…

28 Nov: Read and Weep

This princess’s name is Addie, she’s a doll. She is five years old and hasn’t lost a tooth yet. We introduced her to The Tooth Fairy Treasure Box and toy. There is a part in the story where “Jordan” the little girl in the book, finds a special treasure box on the front door step of her home. Addie, first of all, wanted to hold the treasure box the whole time I read the story. So when this part of the story came up, the treasure box was already in her hand. As soon as Addie saw Jordan find her treasure box, Addie held her treasure box up also, to show me that she had one too and that she was now part of the…

19 Nov: Victory for BUSY Parents

Today I’m feeling rushed. I guess this is the way it goes in the world of business. I refuse to allow this to be me. I’m gonna wait for peace, one thing I have learned in life is that waiting for peace is crucial to your own success. Having peace about your next move is the answer to your question, if it’s the right move or not. This week we are coordinating story time with a few families to do a book read. This will allow us to show you and everyone interested in this book and toy that this truly is a wonderful family tradition. I’ve been offered to a place here, in Heath, to capture some footage. This home has been decorated by…

12 Nov: Rising above my Fears

I met again with my team this last Wednesday and it started off on a slow start, like really slow. We met up at around 11am and things didn’t come to light till around 5pm that evening. It was discouraging and borderline awkward, with a five hour dead end of getting no where. I had my mind figured out the direction I wanted to go on the commercial. I heard about a book trailer from one of my clients. She said it was a new hip thing that I should go check out, so I did. It was a lot similar to a movie trailer and their actually pretty cool. So this seemed to be the direction for me. I took a few days planning…
